Haiku a Day - Week 2

Day 8
Imagine a Mon
That really isn't so bad
Celebrate like Fri

Day 9
Once was gone with the
wind, I needed to be free
Tuesdays gone baby

Day 10
Must have been a bear
In the life before my own
I crave winter naps

Day 11
Dreaming in color
But living in black and white
Sun... brighten my days

Day 12
Color me happy
Sky blue magenta sunsets
Stay inside the lines

Day 13
Sleepy Saturdays
Cups of coffee, comfy clothes
Music and Best Friends

Day 14
Always, Forever
I won't compromise my soul
I do what I want

Happy Love Day

She can do as she pleases, she's nobody's fool

She never gives up, and she never gives in, she just changes her mind ♫

Week One Done

With week one completed, I am challenging myself to rhyme less this week, and not think too deep. Every poem doesn't have to be amazing, but just simply capturing a moment each day.

When I think about my approach to resolutions this year, I am happy with the decision not to become the best me, but simply to grow. I don't need to change a million things, but simply nurture the seeds that have already been sown, and stoke the fire that has been burning all along/

The words are flowing

Day Four
Each day I rise up
From the darkness and despair
And collapse again

Day Five
Words bleed from my mind
Expressing what I can't find
To satisfy my soul

Day Six
Saturdays are for
Coffee books and poetry
My favorite things

Day Seven
There are some people
Productive weekend people
Not I this weekend

Haiku a Day

I've started a new challenge! Haiku a Day for... I'm not sure how many days yet!!

Day One
The January
Sun shines so bright and frigid
It warms my cold heart

Day Two
Snow falls from the sky
Dusting everything in sight
Falling through the night

Day Three
Coffee sweet and strong
Singing me my morning song
Followed by another
