Atoned
Week 18 - Atoned
You could have heard my heart break
Across the five Great Lakes
As the salty tears consumed me
I thought I would drown in their sea
I thought that break would end me
Instead it set me free
Though the heartbreak caused an echo
The healing was more subtle
I can't say when the tears stopped
Or when he left my thoughts
But this heart is fully healed
And so full of good feels
I tried so hard to move on and yet it happened on its own
The love I gave away has been recovered and atoned
