I let the chance slip away
Like it was just another ordinary day
I could not find the words to say
To make my hopes go my way
Perhaps I thought our actions should know
The thoughts and feelings our minds stow
That our bodies and hands would just know
Join our hearts and go with the flow
But with just a few days what were we to do
With all these feelings between me and you
For although we know what we have is true
There was no time to talk and woo

Our hearts that we break at each summers end
